After Christmas at Market Square

This gentleman was with his sisters, who all came from different directions and met in San Antonio for the Christmas weekend.
This family got drawn and the young man asked if I would take a photo of them with the drawing. So here it is. I have a new canopy and less light gets in as you can tell the difference

of the drawing in the light (to much light).

I drew Amanda Viktoria when she was 3 weeks old and I drew here at 3 months.

Here she is 6 months old and this time she had her eyes open.


These two guys are friends and freshman in high school.

Sunday before Christmas

Here was a young couple on their honeymoonWhere I have my retail location on the weekend is in Market Square. It's about 2 blocks

from San Fernando Cathedral. Every year they have a procession thru Market Square heading to the Cathedral.

As I started closing up. I see a large crowd of people gathering with a group of children dressed as angels. You see children as angels you have to take a photo.

Here is the young girl and boy being Mary and Joseph. Mary was on a donkey statue was on a

cart push by the young gentleman behind them.

The photo below I zoomed in and aimed it at the angels. Not seeing what was on

the photo other then knowing I photographed some angels... When I got home and

and downloaded them on computer.... I had a good laugh. Do you think there was small

dispute between these two angels?

We draw and talk caricature business and have a good time.

When Erica called me about the get together, I thought I would attempt doing a drawing of her.

Erica is not only a caricature artist but also a musician and a member of the band Monkey Soop along with Jerry. The only photo I could find of her was off of the Monkey Soop website. I did the drawing in Adobe Illustrator in about 3 hours.

After a week in Sandusky, Ohio

I am back from a week in Sandusky, Ohio at the Kalahari Resort. The annual caricature convention (International Society of Caicature Artists ISCA) was held Monday the 2nd, thru Saturday the 6th. The ISCA was formly known as the NCN - National Caricatures Network.

There were 231 caricature artists who attend from around the world. I have attended 13 of the last 14 conventions. I use the time to learn, practice, network, see old friends and meet new friends. I also compete in many of the catagories of competition. This year no awards for mello-toons, but there is always next year.

I worked in Adobe Illustrator and here are some of my entries along with a photo of the models.
