More Photos of 2009 National Veterans Creative Arts Festival

Here are the rest of the photos I took at the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival of some of the artists along with their entry in the competition. I have several photos that I took of just the art because the artist was not available. This gentleman told me when I was drawing him that his entry was a 57 Chevy pickup model.

But rather than customize it like most people would do. He decided to make it as a 57 pickup would look like now in 2009. Note the dent in the front fender, the rear back tire is flat, it's painted as thou it has not been washed since 1957. In the bed of the truck there are 4 flat tires.

This artist works in photoshop. on this photo you only see half of the work. He took paper sculptures (solid white) of the indian and the horses / photographed them and dropped them into photoshop and added the color.... Seems time consuming to a caricature artist.
