Now when we call it a "Drink and Draw"...
There is more ice tea and soda's as drinks,
rather than beer or hard liquor.

Jury Duty and the iPad

I had jury duty yesterday and I took
my iPad to keep busy until I was
called on a panel.
Here are some of the people
sitting around waiting for their call.

I was called on a panel but was not
select to serve on the jury...
But I had fun drawing on the iPad.

Trade Show working on the iPad

This past Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
I worked a trade show.
They hired me to draw the caricatures
using the iPad, and print them out
on 4X6 photo paper.
I am getting more comfortable using the iPad
at gigs.
Here are 2 groups of some of the people
that I drew.
Just having fun.

Margaret Thatcher on the iPad

One of the best lines by
Margaret Thatcher is her statement
on socialism.
I think the American politicians should
take heed.

Another iPad Gig

The client was very pleased, the individual guests
appeared excited about their drawings, and I am
about 80% happy with the work I did.
There is still room for improvement.
Here are most of the drawings I did.
each drawing was printed 4X6.

iPad Gig Not So Hot

I have been doing caricatures for 32 years.
I have started as you know not only
traditional caricatures with markers on paper.
Now I am adding working the gig
using the iPad and printing out
the drawings on 4 X 6 photo paper.

I worked a gig this past Monday
using the iPad. I was told the client was not
happy with the product. And I agree with her.
Was I working to quickly on trying to get my time down.
From this gig, I learned to take my time
when working with the new ipad gigs.
These are some of the work I did.

It has been years since I heard the client
was not happy with my work.
It hurts, but I can learn from it.

More iPad Drawings from last week

Each gig I do. drawing on the iPad,
I become more comfortable using the tablet
and printer.
Still learning and working
with the different tools / layers / plus the
other optional that are in Art Studio.
I am still working on getting better
with drawings themselves.
People seem to be pleased with
the drawings, but when I get home
and look at them. I see there is
a long way to go to improving
the results.
I strive to get a likeness every time.
these 2 I missed big time.

This guy wanted me to add
a few hearts, because he will be
away from home next week
on his wedding anniversary.

Another iPad Party Gig

Wednesday evening I did a 3 hour gig, drawing on the iPad
I am pleased to be able to
adjust to the technical elements errors that arise.

OK, let's put it this way
I realize  quicker that I made an error.
I can now adjust to it before I get to far
with the drawing.
Some of my drawings I am happy with and
there are other that I know I could have done better.
 I am working on improving
my speed as well as improve
the drawing style on the iPad.
