This last weekend I worked at Market Square.
As a caricature artist you have fun with the people you are drawing and many times you get a compliment on the drawing after they see it. There are times when you know they really appreciate the drawing.
But there are times, few and far between, when they take the time to write or email a thank you later.
Here is an email and the drawing I did of a couple from Dallas.
Nga wanted your portrait of us to carry our names because our trip to San Antonio meant so much to her. She came to the U.S. as a refugee from Vietnam after she and her three children were abandoned by her husband. She put two of those three kids through Texas A&M all by herself. This trip to San Antonio was her first vacation ever, and you helped make it just that much more special.
Great job. Thank you very much,
P.S. I got the drawing back to Dallas in absolutely pristine condition.
